Farmstrong Rescue Youth Program

Build reading comprehension and creative writing skills through engaging, animal-themed activities. Students read and discuss stories and use the rescued animals and farm environment as inspiration for their own stories, journal entries, and creative projects.

Learn about different farm animal, including their behaviors, basic needs, communication, and proper care. Through hands-on observation and interaction with rescued animals, students explore how each species is unique and what it takes to keep farm animals healthy, safe, and happy.

 Learn how farm animals communicate through body language, sounds, and behavior. Students practice recognizing signs of comfort, fear, excitement, and stress while learning through ovservation and safe interaction.

 Students participate in fun, age-appropriate physical activities inspired by life on the farm. Through movement, games, and activities around the sanctuary, students build coordination, balance, strength, and endurance

Students learn Spanish vocabulary and phrases through fun, farm-themed activities. Lessons focus on animals, colors, numbers, foods, greetings, and everyday words, with opportunities to practice Spanish while interacting with the farm environment.

 Students explore creativity through hands-on, farm-inspired art and craft projects. Activities incorporate lessons about the rescued animalswhile helping students develop fine motor skills, creativity, and self-expression.

 Learn about the dietary needs of farm animals and nutrition  to support their health and well-being. Through hands-on feeding activities, students explore what different animals eat, appropriate portions, healthy treats, and the importance of fresh food and water.

 Hands-on educational program where students experience what it takes to care for rescued farm animals. Students learn about animal nutrition, behavior, habitats, enrichment, cleanliness, safety, and responsible animal care while participating in age-appropriate farm activities. 2.5 hrs
